Our Adoption Timeline

12/19/2011-Chose Bethany as our agency

12/19/2011-Submit pre-application to Bethany

12/28/2011-Submit formal application to Bethany

12/28/2011-Submit first payment to Bethany

1/1/2012-Recieve packet of info with Bethany for more information needed to proceed

1/3/2012-Submit more money for training/orientation to Bethany

1/4/2012-Get our fingerprints taken at Yamhill County to submit for criminal history check

1/6/2012-Completed our orientation at the Seattle office

1/7/2012-Completed our orientation at the Seattle office

1/8/2012-Waiting for our homestudy packet to arrive in the mail

1/12/2012-Our homestudy packet came!!

1/29/2012-Submitted our preference sheet for our future child

2/1/2012--3/12/2012-I don't remember the specific date, but somewhere in this time frame Mark got his fingerprints done 3 times and finally they ran the background check some other way--but we both passed the background checks!!

3/13/2012-All home study paperwork is turned in

3/26/2012-Mark gets laid off from current job due to budget reasons

4/9/2012-Mark starts new job at new company and it doesn't affect our adoption--PRAISE GOD!!

4/4/2012-Our first home study interview took place!

4/21/2012-Our second home study interview has been completed!!

5/2/2012-Our third home study interview is done!

5/7/2012-Our forth and final interview is done!!!!!!! We are also given the time frame of being approved by July 4th.

5/21/2012-We had to submit a few new pieces of paperwork to update our home study since Mark switched job. But that's all in!

7/13/2012-7/14/2012-We held a giant garage sale to raise money to go torwards our adoption costs

7/17/2012-We are offically approved and on the waiting list!!!
